We are pursuing a “hands-on” candidate with a proficient knowledge in all aspects pertaining to complex litigation regarding contract and employment matters. This individual must have an aggressive business approach toward ensuring that tasks are completed in both efficient and effectively manner. The ideal applicant will possess the communication capability for addressing situations with austerity or benevolence, depending on the nature of the circumstances. Our mid-level litigation counsel will work directly with our General Counsel, VP of Operations and CEO, and will therefore have a great responsibility to deliver results and success. Responsibilities and Requirements 5 years of first-chair litigation experience Experience with post-judgment collections and garnishments in Georgia Experience with employment law and wage & labor matters (including resolution of disputes regarding employment, non-solicitation, and non-compete agreements) Controlling litigation and risk management Overseeing collections activity to ensure payments are received (including creative skip tracing and judgment enforcement), from delinquent B2B clients and individuals Staying updated on multistate jurisdictions to effectively collect from nationwide clientele Counsel the company regarding the full range of issues that may arise during employment, including with respect to recruitment and hiring, diversity, immigration, ethics, discrimination, performance management, and terminations Member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia Well-organized with a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines Excellent communication skills (e.g. ability to attentively listen, actively engage, and concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form) Offering counsel on a variety of legal issues Negotiate, write and execute agreements and correspondence Job Type: Full-time Salary: $90,000.00 to $140,000.00 /year Experience: litigation: 5 years (Preferred) corporate law: 5 years (Preferred) License: Georgia Bar (Preferred) in-house counsel jobs, in-house attorney jobs, in-house jobs California, in house counsel jobs DC, in house counsel jobs Florida, in house counsel jobs New York, in-house legal jobs, legal jobs Los Angeles, legal jobs New York, legal jobs, law jobs, corporate counsel jobs, corporate lawyer jobs, general counsel jobs, lawyer jobs California |
