Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for Legal Services |

organizations to serve as general legal counsel. " |

Louisville Arena Authority seeks professional services from a contract attorney on an as-needed hourly basis to provide general legal services associated with the design, construction and financing, and oversight thereof, of the proposed Louisville Arena. The Arena Authority, through its designated representative, will negotiate a contract with the responder deemed most qualified to provide this service. Please note that information concerning the Arena Project is available [and additional information will be added occasionally] by posts
on, or by links found at, the Arena Authority’s website (see more details link). The RFP Response Due Date is March 16, 2009.
RESPONSE TERMS OF RFP
Please provide a fee proposal (not to exceed $125 per hour) for legal services that may include, but not be limited to the following services:
1. Advice, direction and representation of the Louisville Arena Authority.
2. Participation in Arena Authority monthly meetings and other specially-called meetings, as needed.
3. Legal oversight of agreements, contracts, and other documentation and activity associated with the Arena Authority, including documentation associated with the financing of the Arena project.
4. Legal oversight of the Arena Authority’s corporate status, including preparation and maintenance of corporate records.
5. Investigation, legal research and writing, preparation of pleadings, legal memoranda and court appearances, as needed.
PROPOSAL DEADLINE
Proposals must be received by 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on March 16, 2009.

To the extent appropriate, practical or feasible, the Arena Authority will respond to questions concerning this RFP. Questions must be written and addressed to Laura Chandler, Louisville Arena Authority, P.O. Box 21179, Louisville, Kentucky 40221-0179; or sent to Laura Chandler via e-mail (lchandler@ksfb.ky.gov). Questions must be submitted by no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on March 6, 2009. Answers to such questions may be posted on the Louisville Arena Authority website (in anonymous format). The Louisville Arena Authority reserves the right to provide responses and/or clarifications to inquiries from its website, or to make no response at all. Firms submitting inquiries are advised to not rely on any verbal
advice/instruction, and only to rely on written instructions from the Arena Authority. |
